Each cushion cover is handcrafted in Ghana, featuring a hand-embroidered or printed Adinkra symbol set on vibrant Kente fabric. Adinkra symbols are part of a visual vocabulary developed by the Akan people of Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, each one carrying a proverb, value or piece of ancestral wisdom.

Adinkra symbol meanings
- Gye Nyame — “Except for God.” A symbol of the supremacy and omnipotence of God; a reminder of faith and protection.
